Courtney graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a minor in Physics of Medicine and Public Health. She then completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida. 

She began her career at the University of Florida in Endocrinology. Then she transitioned to Trauma and General Surgery in Jacksonville, FL, where she was trained in minimally invasive Robotic surgery and trauma surgery.  She joined Mid-Florida Surgical Associates in 2018 to continue working in robotic surgery. She then took a few years hiatus to work in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, specializing in foregut operations. 

She returned to Mid-Florida Surgical Associates in 2021 and continues to work alongside accomplished surgeons in General Surgery with a focus on Robotic Surgery.
