Dr. Schroeder joined the practice in 2020 after relocating to Central Florida from Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Schroeder was born and raised in Buchholz, Germany. Following in his father's footsteps, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Hamburg. Dr. Schroeder participated in numerous research activities at one of the largest hernia centers in Germany.
In 2014, Dr. Schroeder published postgraduate research contributing to a change in the field of hernia surgery towards alternative minimally invasive techniques. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to complete his surgical residency at Creighton University School of Medicine.
Dr. Schroeder is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is also a member of several professional organizations including the Amercian Hernia Society, American College of Surgeons, and Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons. Dr. Schroeder is a proctor for daVinci robotic surgery. He serves as the Co-Director of the Hernia Center of Excellence at Advent Health Winter Garden.
Recently, Dr. Schroeder has participated in humanitarian surgical missions in Paraguay and the Dominican Republic. He joined a team of international hernia experts to provide the highest level of surgical care to underserved patients.
Dr. Schroeder and his wife Morgan, a Central Florida native, have four children: Ella, Finn, Devin, and Landon. He enjoys time with his family, the outdoors, Bundesliga Soccer, and music.
